Alice Eveline Luce


 Alice E. Luce originated in England had, a profound missionary vocation. In 1896 after completing his studies in nursing and theology he was appointed missionary to India by the Church Missionary Society. Later, when the Pentecostal revival that began in the Azusa Street in Los Angeles arrived in India in 1910, AE Luce was "baptized with the power of the Holy Spirit." Finding it serving in Canada quit his name, feeling a call from God to work as a missionary among Latinos.

 

While in Texas he met HC Ball and other Pentecostal leaders wrapped early in the work of the Assemblies of God, of which he was ordained as a minister in 1915. He soon began evangelistic work among Latinos in the city of Los Angeles. Later Sister Alice E. Luce was devoted to preparing and training program for pastors and evangelists to reach the Hispanic people to Christ, establishing for this purpose the Berea Bible Institute in the city of La Puente, California.
