David Wilkerson (May 19, 1931 - April 27, 2011) was a renowned American Christian pastor and author of nearly 40 books about Christianity, of which especially include "The View" (The Vision) and "Cross and the Switchblade "(the Cross and the Switchblade) which was a best-seller.

He also was founder and senior pastor of the Church of Square1 New York Times, and Teen Challenge Christian organizations ('Teen Challenge') and World Challenge, Inc. ('World Challenge').
